recover data from old useraccount

SITUATION
A Crashed systeem
NEW Harddisk with NEW winxp home
old Harddisk is still accessible
Documents and settings are password protected and are INACCESSIBLE
The newly created useraccount does not open the files of the old account
data are NOT encrypted by special program

QUESTION
Can I restore the OLD userprofile
Can I enter somewhere the old password?
Can I delete the password from these files

how can I recuperate my data from the old account?
