Apologies - I know this query is in the wrong place - but I can never find a
category that actually seems appropriate .....:-((((((

I have files on a floppy which I've been reading/writing to fine. Suddenly
I can't access the diskette (nothing odd happened - honest !!)
Error message says the diskette isn't formatted. Tried it on another PC and
error message says it's formatted for a Macintosh (!!!) Both systems are
running XP.

Does anyone know a good tool that I can download to try and recover. ?

Thanks.

After recovering your file(s), consider modifying your approach.
Floppy disks are notorious for being unreliable. They must not
be used for backing up data. When used to transport files, always
use two floppy disks. Better even, buy a USB flash memory stick.
They are much faster, have vastly greater capacity and are far
more reliable.
