Recover archived Outlook Files created in another version of XP

import archived outlook files

In: microsoft.public.word.docmanagement

I have been redirected to a Windows XP group, from an Office NG for this
problem.

My laptop was stolen. I have tried to import backed up Outlook files to my
new laptop. I would be satisfied just to get contacts file.

My new Operating system is XP 5.1 home edition.,Office 2003. Importing
from Office 2000. The message I get is that I am not authorised for access
to the old archived files.

You're experiencing File Ownership problems, are you trying to import
from removable media (CD-R) or a disk drive location ? If the data is
on a CD-R/DVD-R copy it to a local disk folder and retry your import.
