Recover a Clip from Timeline

Hi, can't seem to think straight this morning. I lost a file that held clips
I used in one MM project. Is there any way to copy a clip out of the
timeline in one project and paste into another project?

Sorry, I realize now that I do indeed have the original file and did find it
using properties...(or i would have had red X's in my timeline of original
project)...okay here is the real question: So I don't have to recreate all
the trimming & effects on a couple of these clips, can I copy a clip from the
timeline of one project into the timeline of another project? Just renaming
the project in a "save as" won't work for me. Thank you!

Sooo Sorry! Not sure exactly what happened, but I'm able to copy and paste
from timeline & storyboard just fine now between projects. Maybe MM was
crunching something in the background and just didn't catch up to me. I'm
working with multiple 5-gig files. I closed out of MM several times and
copy/paste didn't work, but now it does. Sorry...I'm all set now!
