Is it possible to record TV shows without having the TV display window open?
In other words, I'd like to schedule a show for recording, and have it
quietly record in background mode.
I have the TV Wonder Pro.

You could check out Tivo or ReplayTV, if you have
DirecTV the Tivo based two tuner sys is great.

Once your "Tivo" unit has gathered up the programs
it's easy to archive them to your computer and go
through the usual process to turn out a VCD or DVD.
