Recording To A DVD

Does anybody know how I can save my Movie Maker film onto
a DVD that will play in a DVD Player. I've tried to do it
by saving to CD but the CD won't play in my DVD player
(That is compliant with CD RW and CDR). Also I've tried
to burn my Videos files using Nero Express but movie maker
files do not appear. Any idea how I can save them to a
file that wil appear in nero.

Hi there,

Well, you need a DVD authoring package. There is an enormous range of
programs, some free some you pay for. If you do not what you are doing
maybe a commercial package would be the way to go.

On the Nero front in particular version 6, I have seen in other newsgroups
that a lot of people complain about it. I have version 5 and I have to say,
what I have seen of it I did not like. I therefore never use it. So, I am
not the best person to ask about Nero. I use a program called DVD Complete,
which was made by Dazzle who have recently been taken over by Pinnacle.
From what I have read, Pinnacle seem to make a good package, but I have
never used it myself. DVD Complete does everything I ever need and a fair
few things that I don't use. If you can get it, you will find it very easy
to use.

Hi I have Nero 6 and at the moment don't seem to have any
problems but I have only used it a few times.

On nero web site there is a download you require to do the
convert from avi to VCD or DVD called nerovision express 2

On the download site it is package 2 about 14Mb
http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php

If you are still having problems let me know as I will be
in front of my computer in about 5 hours so I can have a
closer look for you.

You need third party software to create a snazzy, interactive DVD. I use
Sonic MyDVD, but I'm not overly impressed with it as it will not allow me to
create separate scene selection / play entire movie buttons. I can have
either/or, but not both. Other than that it's very good and pretty simple.
It cost me about £50 from http://www.sonic.com.

You may also like to refer to http://www.dvdrhelp.com for reference and info
on the various DVD media that you will encounter. You can browse other
users' experience of the different combinations of +, -, R and RW in your
target equipment (not all media works in all players, so it's best to buy
media that you know will work in your player given that recordable DVDs
aren't cheap).
