Recording not working!

I do a lot of recording on to my harddisc using Magix, Cakewalk ect. All of a sudden it will not record! Even on my windows recorder it does not register. I am getting a sound into the monitors, so the sound card is working, but I cannot record at all. If I plug my line out into the mike socket, I get sound to record, so it isn't my chord. Help someone. Thanks. Peter.
 
Go to downloads for WMP9 series,download the encoder for recording.
 
Andrew. Tried that. That's not it. It plays, but does not record from the line input.
