Hello,

I'm looking for a program that will record music in reasonable quality on a
Pentium 75 with 64 MB RAM and Win 98SE.

CDex won't work; after a couple of minutes of recording (WAV), hiccups
occur in the recording. While recording nothing else is running on the PC.

Would Linux be a better operating system for this purpose on a slow PC?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Geoff.

This one is quite light, you could try it: step voice recording:

now shareware, but last freeware version available in the downloadsection.
