Hi,

Can someone please guide me through recording an internet throughput trace
for emailing?

I need to get it to my ISP.

Thanks.

Neil

Huh?

Do you mean a traceroute to your email server?

if so, from a command line

START > RUN type
cmd
<enter>

in the box, type tracert emailservername > c:\trace.log

When the trace completes, you will find trace.log in the root directory of
your harddrive

Open the particular email that you are concerned about. Below the To and From
addresses should be an entry called Details (hyperlink). Click it and when
it opens you can rightclick and highlight the contents, then copy and paste
it to your email to send to your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Maybe I wasn't exactly clear...

I am experiencing a bandwidth bottleneck somewhere between my home and my
ISP.

Using Norton System Doctor, I am able to see dips in the internet packet
turnaround and internet speed traces. There is, as far as I'm aware, no
way to record these traces for inclusion in an email. Is there a generic
Win XP way to do the same - I suppose similar to network traffic?

I am running Win XP Pro SP2.

I need to be able to record a trace of say 30 minutes internet bandwidth
usage, and include the results in an email.
