Recommendations on an Access Programming book

Fred

(already read the old posts on this)

1. Any thoughts on a good book for someone who is fluent in Access but new
to Access programming, and who wants to learn Access Programming?

2. How "far off" is a book of the wrong version? Right now I use mostly
Access 2003. Is an old Access '97 VBA book a waste of time to read?
Would there be lots of problems trying to use a 2007 book?

3. Is a big book better? (vs. just an introductory one and then look up
things at other sources) I like the dependability of a book better, (vs.
transience of on-line stuff & help files) but don't want to carry that
preference to an extreme

Would appreciate thoughts from at least a couple of folks.

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for the info. I looked into that. It looks like that series is
very highly regarded. The newest one looks like it's for Access 2002 which
looks like a good versions for me. Reinforced by your indication that even
the Access 1997 version of this is still very helpful.
