reclaiming EWF RAM

When using EWF RAM, will the memory that gets used after a "disk" write be
reclaimed if that file is deleted?

If the file is updated, but not increased in size, how much additional (if
any) EFW RAM will be used?

Is there any way of reclaiming used EWF RAM other than a re-boot?
