Recipients can't see image in email

A co-worker sent out an email with an image inserted (Insert - Pictures -
From File). We are using MS Outlook 2003. When sent, many of our
recipients complained that they could not see the image. The recipients
have had no trouble seeing images before. This email address has sent many
emails to recipeints containing inserted images in the past, but just last
week, we set up a new computer for the user and set up the existing email
address on this new computer. That's when the trouble began. I am
wondering if there's a setting in Outlook that may have to be changed on
this new computer. It is set to send messages in HTML.

Does any have any ideas as to what may be causing this problem?

Thanks.

The default format may be HTML but the recipients' contact information - does
that specific rich text?

I am not sure. It's actually a large list of recipients who always were
able to receive emails from this address, but now cannot since the email
address was set up on a new computer.

We have an exchange server and can receive the emails no problem within our
network. Once it goes outside, we are getting the problem.

Outlook Rich Text Format is a specific format to Outlook. If you're using
that format and sending to recipients who don't use Outlook, their email
client may not be able to read the email properly. Even if you've set HTML as
the default in Outlook, if the recipient in the address book is set to be
sent emails using rich text that would cause an issue. Please verify and let
me know.

Thanks.

Do you mean that in the Contacts folder, you can set how each recipient
receives the email? If so, can you let me know where I would find this
setting. Thanks.
