Recipe database manager.

Does anyone know of any good freeware that will establish and 'manage' a
domestic database of favourite recipes? (ie provide a search capacity for
key ingredients as well as a simple list of categories, recipes and
locations).

I had already downloaded Recipe Manager [over 10 MB ) ], but it is really
too complex for our needs. It appears to be full of its own recipes (which
is NOT what we want) and apparently required us to connect via internet for
each use ??

I'll give this a try. Thanks.

I d/l this: http://www.coffeenews.net/software.html some time ago; it's
free, not too big and comes with some recipies already in it (which you can
delete btw); has backup/import capabilities to some extent. I haven't used
it much, but have added a couple of my favorites to it. Maybe just what you
need as it is only 1183kb d/l, not too bad even for a dialup.

Enjoy

go here for a free recipe & shopping list program

it's ok.

This is one of those areas where I finally gave up and went with
shareware. Recipe programs are surprisingly complex, and the freeware
ones I've tried have all been either too crude to be useful or so heavily
pre-configured that they won't let me do what I want. There's a lot of
adware and crippleware out there as well. I'd love a good, simple
freeware recipe program (since even the shareware I settled on is kind of
clunky), but I seriously doubt it exists.

IBM-compatible computers. A Meal-Master database can hold approximately
65,000 recipes (subject to disk space availability), and if desired, you can
create multiple databases on different disks for unlimited capacity. A
series of easy to use menus guide new users through the program with ease,
