Recently used workbook listing

I know how to set the Option to show recently used workbooks, the number I
want displayed, etc. Problem is, after a few (it varies) days, the list goes
away and I have to start anew. Is there a "switch" somewhere that erases the
list? Any help? Not serious; just a bother.

I vaguely remember an issue with Windows powertoys erasing this...are you
using these?

Nick,

Thanks for the reply. To state my true age would be self-incrimination (or
some such), but suffice to say I'm well beyond toys -- even those for grown
men. To confess, though, I'm not familiar with powertoys, but for certain no
such s/w is installed on my trusty Dell. I'm running Excel 2002 (for some
weird banking reasons), so maybe 2003 would solve the problem. However, I do
like to resolve these sort of arbitrary occurrences if at all possible.

I welcome any further thoughts you may have. Happy Holidays!
