Recently accessed documents

I'm using XP Home edition. Is there a way to stop the program from saving
"records of recently accessed documents, programs, and web sites"?

I know that you can CLEAR them from the START menu, but I would like to
eliminate them altogether.

Thanks.

Hi

It depends on which option you want to disable. Also, you can achieve a
certain amount of customization via the registry but it's difficult and
dangerous.

Best thing, in my humble opinion, is to use a 'tweak' program such as Tweak
UI which is actually supplied with XP. You'll find it in Windows, System 32.

Other 'tweakers' are out there on the Net and often free.

Good luck

Kakadu,

Yes! It is possible.

Disable Recent Documents History
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/545/

The "NoRecentDocsHistory" registry key.
