Is there a way stopping things I've opened/saved to disk
or saved items in pdf form from appearing in
*my recent documents* appearing after clicking the start
button then the recent document button.

Yes. Right click on the task bar, select properties, Select start
Menu Tab, Click Customise button, Click Advanced Tab

Now at the bottom you will see an item called 2list my most recent
documents" Just uncheck the box and also click on the "clear list"
box and you are done.

You will need to follow the above steps literally to get there easily.

Hi Jose.
Many thanks for the link,worked a treat.
So,so easy when you know how,been going though
them for a long time now and right /delete to remove them.
