Receipiant name changes upon sending

This is so bizarre, I have a user that when the select a certain contact
(lets say "Mike") then they click send the name in the to area changes to
another person (lets say "Jane"). It is always the same two contacts and the
change is visable in the Sent Items folder. I have checked the contacts of
both Mike and Jane thouroughl;y and can find no anomalies with either. I
didn't bevieve it at first but have seen it my self and am baffled. Has
anyone seen this behavior before?

Did the name/address already got fully resolved before sending?

Otherwise, you'll need to post a lot more info about your configuration.

Configuration is as follows: Win XP sp3 fully patched, Office 2003 sp3 fully
patched, Email account is pop (hits an internet pop server, no exchange).
Both the user and the two contacts have existed for more than 5 years no
previous issues,

Not enough information. You never stated how recipients were selected.
Determine whether autocompletion is in play.

Yes I believe autocompletion is the issue. I cannot however find a nck file
utility that works with Outlook 2003. All i could find was the tool
referenced in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q242074 but it does not work
in versions after 2000. Do you know of a tool that will help with 2003 nck
corruption?

That tool had nothing to do with autocompletion. It had to do with
autoresolution. We have no way of knowing which is in play here because we
have no information.
Why are you convinced you need a tool? Why can't you just delete the
relevant autocompletion entries?
If you feel you need to repair the NK2 file, Ingressor is the best utility I
know of.
