I've lost the icons for my MS Office 2000 apps. As I recall, this might be a
result of the windows registry getting messed up. Is there a way to rebuild
the registry in an attempt to get the icons back?

Thanks in advance,
David

Try reinstalling Office 2000

Hi
Open any office application eg. Words, select Help>Detect and Repair

When I attempt to repair via Add/Remove Software, I get an error telling me
that

'This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package
exists and that you can access it, or contact the applciation vendor to
verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.'

I've never seen this error before and I can't remove the software due to the
same reason.

Any and all ideas appreciated!

David
