How many apps do you have starting at boot? Stop the ones that are not needed
to start at boot or not essential and which you can start when needed.

Delete any shortcuts in the Startup folder on the Start > Programs menu.
Check each apps options for settings that enable/disable the app starting at
boot.
Click Start > Run, type in: regedit and press Enter.
Expand hklm\software\microsoft\windows\current version and check the registry
RUN keys. Delete any entries in the right pane not needed, but not before
exporting the key/s in case something was needed and you need to merge the key
back.
