WINXP w/SP1 and fully patched. Received alert in last 2-3
days to install a new update for IE6/SP1. I let it install
but didn't permit reboot until much later in the day. When
I rebooted the system would come up to the point where it
begins to create the desktop but reboots again before
putting icons on the desktop and just keeps doing that. I
tried Last Known Good... and Safe Mode to no avail. My ASR
floppy seems to be NG so my next idea is to install
another copy of XP on the same machine and see if I can
recover from there.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this problem?

Thanks.
Roger

This just happened on my mothers's computer..she just
called me about it. I'm baffled...doesn't anyone have any
thoughts on this?
