Rebooting after logging in

I am having a problem with an HP DC5100 Small Form Factor purchased just a
month ago - the customer has about 25-30 of these computers, and this is the
first one with this problem.

XP Professional with Service Pack 2 - 512mb Ram - 80gb SATA HD - Int CD-Writer
Novell Client 4.91 - Service Pack 2 (All patches used to update client) -
Computer Associates ETrust Antivirus 7.1

After logging in using the Novell Client, it starts to login and then
randomly reboots all the way back to the initial computer bios screen !! At
that point, it will let me login again, and it usually takes about 4-6
reboots before it finally logs in. It will say that Windows has recovered
from a serious error with the following parameters:

Event ID # 1003
Error Code 1000000a
Parameter1 40000033
Parameter2 0000001c
Parameter3 00000000
Parameter4 804ef7b9

I have tried this hard drive on another perfectly working computer with the
same results, and i have tried the hard drive without the Novell Client
installed -- all with the same rebooting problems.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!

It sounds like this computer has hardware problems. I'd start with the RAM
and then the power supply. Here are some general hardware troubleshooting

Would that still be a hardware problem if i took the hard drive in question
and installed it in an existing computer that had been working with its' own
hard drive the past 6 months..... and the problem still existed testing with
all new memory, power supply, processor, etc ??

SpyBot and Antivirus all checked out clean with no items found.

I don't know because your post is ambiguous. Are you saying that you put the
drive from the questionable computer into another computer - did a Repair
Install if necessary - and got the same results? Different cable? Then
obviously the problem is either the hard drive or the install and not the
motherboard or other components on the first machine. Did you test the hard
drive with a diagnostic utility downloaded from the drive mftr.'s website?
If not, please do so. If the drive fails any physical tests (and do the
thorough tests not just the quick ones), replace it.

If the drive tests healthy, do a clean install of Windows, install the same
drivers and software that are on the working machines, and the same version
of Novell. Test after installing each driver.
