Reboot

Hi When I start my computer it goes through the Power on
self test up until the video beep, either right before
the beep or right after the beep and then it starts the
process over again and over again and over again. I'm not
sure how many times it restarts but it seems to vary.
Sometimes it goes on normally. I just flashed the bios,
the first time incorrectly, the second time it worked
fine and my bios is totally updated. My motherboard is a
ABIT KX7-333R. After I updated the bios I reloaded
everything and this repetitive boot is happening. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sandy

If you are not getting to the point where the first Windows XP startup
splash screen appears then what you are encountering is a hardware
problem. Either your BIOS update is still not correct or there is
some actual hardware component that is malfunctioning during the Power
On Self Test.

Did you save a copy of the original BIOS from before your first update
attempt? If so you might want to try reverting back to that BIOS
version and see if that resolved the problem.

Good luck

IF you flashed the bios successfully, you will have to enter the bios and
choose the correct settings - then reboot. If you don't know the correct
settings, you should not have been messing with the bios in the 1st place.

You can save a copy of your old BIOS?

Yes, you can. When you updating your BIOS, it should give you an option to
save it first before updating.
Or you can simply execute the flash tool and will give you option [syntax].
