Reboot on installation?

Hey guys. After many hours of thinking, I finally decided to upgrade from
ME to XP, so I backed up all the things I wanted to, Formatted the Hard Disk
and started to load the XP CD (full Home version, not the upgrade).
However, Just after it finishes the system checks, it reboots and keeps
following this cycle over and over again. Any suggestions on how to
overcome this would be greatly appreciated.

Run the Xp Compatibility Advisor , and make changes if needed. Disconnect
all peripherals except mouse , keyboard and monitor. Try again. Jym
