Reboot from a Bugcheck

G

George Rose

I have four servers running W2K with terminal services at
my plant. Two servers (app1 and app2) are redundant and
run the application sessions for the clients. Two
servers (opc1 and opc2) are OPC servers serving plant
data to app1 and app2. I use software called ThinManager
to control rollover of the client terminal service
sessions in the event of a server failure on app1 and
app2. The problem I am experiencing is when app1 is
rebooted (for maintenance), the clients attempt to
rollover to app2, but app2 reboots because of a bugcheck
error (The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The
bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xa00b8eda,
0x00000000, 0x00000000). Microsoft Windows 2000
[v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\MEMORY.DMP.)
Can anyone offer any advise on where to look for this
problem? Thanks.
