Getting Blue dump stop error 0X1E

Vijay

Hi all
We are running A Windows 2000 server with Terminal service
in Remote admin mode. Frequently my server is giving blue
dump error. When I check the system event viewer I saw a
following error with the source save dump

the error is

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck
was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xa07e7b6e, 0x00000000,
0x000122f8). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A full
dump was not saved.

How to resolve the problem
Thanks
Vijay

First of all, I would configure the server to *not* reboot
automatically when a STOP error occurs. This will give you the
opportunity to see all of the information about the STOP error,
the next time it occurs. If you are lucky, it will display on the
screen which driver or service is causing the STOP error. You can
configure this in Control Panel - System - Advanced - Start and
Recovery options.

You might want to search the KB for "STOP 0x1E". This lists 27
different KB articles about causes for STOP error 0x1E on a
Windows 2000 server.

Or check the MSDN Bug Check Codes page about this STOP error at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-
us/ddtools/hh/ddtools/bcintro_3dkj.asp

And make sure you have the latest service pack installed.
A problem like this was solved a while back in SP2 I think.
