Reboot from a Bugcheck

G

Guest

I have a server running Windows 2000 Server that is rebooting due to a
bugcheck 0x0000000a. I thought this was due to 3rd party software, but I
have disabled that software and the server has rebooted again. There is no
pattern to the reboots. How or where can I submit a Memory Dump for
analysis? This server is a domain controller and houses user Home
Directories and user Profiles, so the server is set to restart after the blue
screen.

Almost always a hardware and or driver issue.

You said you had disabled the software. Does that include the service if
that software installs a service. I have looked at a lot of dumps and
almost all are 3rd party drivers or services that need to be updated.
You can call Microsoft and open a case to have someone look at a dump.
If it is a problem in Windows and you need a hotfix there will be no
charge. Otherwise there is a charge for the case.
