reboot but hung up for ever!

dell laptop has the reboot problem in normal mode and get
hung up after displaying Windows XP Professional screen.
but able to reboot in safe mode. recently no new HW and
SW, any suggestions...??????????

Push F8 at startup when prompted and boot into safe mode. Check event log
in control panel->administrative tools for any possible errors. You can
also try SFC /scannow from the a command prompt.

When you are in Safe Mode, change your password and see
if that helps.

I checked, but can't figure out what might be the causes
and how to kill the problems? Do I have to repair or
reinstall it????? thanks...
