Rear speakers do not work (2 of 5 speakers

I have a standard dell surround sound system and it did work before but now
the rear speakers just hum.....no sound. I have performed all the suggested
solutions by dell and still no sound from the rear speakers. I have checked
the volume, the hook up, the power and everything else that was suggested by
my system without success.

Have you switched out the rear speakers to eliminate the unlikely
possibility that they are both faulty?
