Are you able to test these speakers on a different PC? Can you also connect
these speakers to a radio's 1/8 inch jack? You need to check to see if the
front right speaker cable is not crimped/cut/broken?

How is the sub-woofer working (the .1 in the 4.1 speaker set up?)

The 4.1 speakers are

2 front speakers (left / roght)
2 rear speakers (left / right)

1 sub-woofer (the .1 of the system)

the speakers are connected directly to the sub-woofer and if i switch the
front-left speaker with the front-right speaker i get sound in the
front-right but no sound in the front-left speaker. the sub-woofer does not
have its own connection to the soundcard but shares with the speakers.if i
change the settings to 8.1 or 7.1 and connect the front speakers cable to the
side speaker connection i get sound from both speakers .so the speakers and
cables work fine

I'm having the same problem. At first, I had no sound on the front
speakers, then I found out you have to jumper the connectors right
behind the jacks on the motherboard so it didn't think it had
headphones attached. When I finished that, I had no sound from the
front right speaker, so I went the the sound board and turned the
balance all the way to the right. This is where it gets weird. I
actually have a little bit of sound coming from the right front
speaker. You have to put your ear on it but it is there. Now where do
I go from here? Did I maybe jumper the wrong pins?
