realplayer crashes

I know this isn't windows but there doesn't seem to be a realplayer
newsgroup, and I've exhausted other options.

Basically, whenever I try to play Real media files - *.rm, *.ram, etc - in
RealPlayer Gold, it crashes. The only error I get is the XP error reporting
facility, which says this:

"Faulting application realplay.exe, version 6.0.11.868, faulting module
pnvi3260.dll, version 6.0.3.1265, fault address 0x00006994."

It gives the same error on each occasion; this file is the cause but why I
don't know why. I have had this exact same problem before but I can't
remember how it was resolved. I have a feeling the problem is XP.

I've tried converting the movies to AVI using TINRA but that stupid software
never works, it didn't even TRY to convert the bloody things, just left me
AVIs that were all 0kb in size!

Hope you can assist.

Here is a better solution, works great on many types of files, even
real player files for me, all I can think of except mp4:
http://www.ultraplayer.com/
Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
