Really wierd issue when printing some emails (missing header)

G

Guest

I am running outlook 2003 on a winxpH SP 2 machine.

After sending some emails, i copy then to a separate folder for tracking
needs. I color code them, then open then FILE > PRINT. Select my printer and
print them.

It works fine, however; on some of my emails, the header information with my
name, from, sent, time, subject does not print... just the email content.

Its really unpredictable...

The email are all HTML, done with word as the editor, and have embedded
images, usually screenshots.

I just don't k now why some are showing the headers and other are not.

Can anyone please help??? I really need the header info printed for tracking
needs.

I have the same problem. It seems wrong for me to have to pay $49 for a
support call just to get a fix for a known software bug. Is there any way to
get the hotfix without paying the $49 fee?

TIA

I spoke with support, they don't actually have a hotfix for this issue.

They are 'looking into it' - in the mean time, i unistalled IE 7 and the
problem is fixed...

Untill they actully fix this i will not be using IE 7.

There is no HOTFIX.

I spend an hour on the phone with MS Support and they in turn with higher
support.

It turns out that they don't know a hotfix for the issue. The support guy i
talked to said "it's very wierd that we can't find a link to download the
hotfix for this hotfix. i will work with my tech superviser and call you
back".

So i ininstalled IE 7 and the problem is gone...

This is bery odd in deed!

The hotfix in the article most definitely exists. Instead of explaining your
issue just ask for the hotfix and refer to that KB article. They will send
it to you free of charge usually within 48 hours.

Strange that they can't find it; from an Outlook point of view it must be
requested reasonably often.
