Print multiple emails to text file (or Excel)

I have a number of emails. They are notifications generated by a system, and
each one consists of some data in the subject line and a some more data in
the body.

1. I'd like to get them into a text file so that I can import them into
Excel and fiddle with the format. Any suggestions? Can I "print" multiple
emails to a text file?

2. A normal "print" would format them with multiple lines for the header
(separate line for Date, To, From, etc.). But I only care about the Subject
line and the text in the body of the email. Is there any way to generate a
formatted report, with one record per email, so that I could, for example,
put the Subject line into one field and the body of the email in a separate
field?

I'm using Outlook 2003.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Have you tried the Export function already? It allows you to export to the
xls-format as well.

You can export messages to a CSV file which can be opened by Excel. Put all
the emails in a single folder then in Outlook do File-Import and
Export-Export to a File and follow the prompts.
