Really long Startup in Win XP

I have Win Xp, and it takes 2+ minutes for me to log in
and get the computer to "running point" (when I can do
things with it). Anyone have any advice. Have run
AntiVirus, and Defrag-ed.

Start > Run > msconfig and see if you aren't loading too many things during
startup.

My boot takes longer than before. I tried using the hp

instant support, but they aren't helpful. You have to
spend hours on the phone or on-line.

I'm not sure about performance in general. However, in
all my discussions they said clean up cookies and temp
files before defragging your "C" drive. Jack B.
