real player wont go away XP

Using XP I am constantly getting a message "real player has encountered a
problem"
But I do not have real player and it is not in my program list.
How can I terminate this?

Hi JD,

Some reference to it is likely in the startup group. Click start/run or hit
the Winkey+r and type MSCONFIG into the box, then click ok. Go to the
startup tab, look for a line that references real player and disable
(uncheck) it. Click apply/ok, reboot at leisure.
