Reading pane lost

I reopened Outlook 2003 after a crash and found that the mail reading pane
disappeared. I tried to set it back in the Define View screen but found the
"Reading Pane - Right" radio button was already checked. Then I tried to set
it to "Off". Applied the change and set it back to "Right". The pane was
still lost.

Any idea to get it back?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried clicking Help > Detect and Repair from inside Outlook?

Have you tried simply restarting Outlook? Due to your previous crash it
might have been launched in Save Mode and therefor not showing the Reading
Pane.
