Reading Layout

When opening Word documents sent to me by email, the document is first
opened in print layout, which is the way it has always been. However, I
notice that any grafics are missing and can only be seen in Reading Layout.
I have to work with these documents and move them to another program.
I would prefer to work with the print layout. How can I change things back
to the way they were???

Which version of Word is this? If it's Word 2003, see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/drwgrphcs/invisiblegraphics.htm.

If you are using Word 2007, do the following: Click the Office button, and
then click Word Options. In the Display category, make sure that "Print
drawings created in Word" is checked. In the Advanced category, make sure
that "Show picture placeholders" is cleared. Click OK.
