I recently upgraded to Windows XP and am trying to restore data I had backed
up on a CD-RW disc which has some important data on it. When I go to "My
Computer" or "Windows Explorer" it cannot recognize the files or
folders-just showing a blank disk. Can anyone tell me how to get XP to read
this CD-RW?

If you have backed in the CDRW, you should choose end seesion which it will
let you run it on other computer.

It's only temporary files if you don't write it to CD-RW.

If you used packet writing software to format the CDRW and then backup
the files to the formatted CD, you will need to install the XP updated
software equivalent to what you used for the original.
If you used third party backup software that backed up to CD, you will
need to obtain the XP version to restore the files.
