readable font

Recently a friend of mine, using Windows 2000 Professional, lost all of her fonts. All of her e-mails, in all folders suddenly changed to the "Marlett" font, which is unreadable. In addition to that, whenever she goes into a "subfolder", example such as in control panel (she can read), but once in the "display" folder, all of the words (except headings) are in the "Marlett" font. So far, we have not been able to change any of the fonts back to a "normal" Windows font. She has an up to date virus scan, and all critical updates have been kept up. This problem is true through-out the computer, every where she tries to look up anything to chage this font, nothing is legable. What would be the best solution to this problem...please help.

- Scan her PC with an external virus scanner,
e.g. on www.antivirus.com ("free online scan").
- Re-install Win2000 over the top of the existing installation.
