Read Security Center status via code

Hi,

I'm using a series of scripts to check various "health-related" items on
XPSP2 laptops as part of a VPN system. These scripts check things like
presence of anti-virus, etc but are a bit kludgy when trying to expand them
to support multiple products so I'm looking for a better solution.

As the Security Center checks the status of Automatic Updates, anti-virus
presence and status, Windows Firewall, etc (I understand that Vista will show
anti-spyware in the Security Center as well), this seems like a good place to
look when running a health check.

My question is, can the Security Center information be read
programmatically? If so, are there any examples out there (VBScript, WMI,
etc)?

Thanks....
