I have a folder that is marked Read only and I am not able to get it to change. It will let me uncheck the box but as soon as I go back to that folder it defaults back to read only.
I bet the folder has a hidden file in it called desktop.ini. Remove that file from the folder and your issue is solved. It is hidden so you may need to look in the folder in the command prompt. Just issue attrib while in that folder. You'll see it then.
