read only files are being displayed whenever i copy to a disc from

word 2003. i have checked in security options and the box is NOT checked for
read only protection.
 
If you are copying the files from a CD, then yes, they are Read Only. In
Windows Explorer, select all the files, right-click, choose Properties, and
remove the check by Read Only.
