read only file

I made a backup of a quickbooks file and copied those
files to disk. I'm trying to utilize that CD to backup
my system but it says it is read only and I dont know how
to change that. Can someone tell me please?

On the CD it is read only, that is the nature of CDs. In order to change
the attribute the file must be copied back to the hard drive.
