Read only embedded fonts

I have received a document that I cannot edit because it contains "read-only
embedded-fonts".

Is there anything that I can do to allow me to edit this document?

Also how can you embed read-only font into a document in the first place?

Do you know what fonts are read-only? If so, maybe you can find them online
and install them?

If you change the font to a different one, can you then Save As, or does
Word not allow you to even change the font?
