Windows Mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CONTACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Importing the read-only WAB from an XP machine, off of an optical
disc, makes the C:\users\franky\contacts folder read-only.

SHOULD FIX: right-clicking and unselecting 'read only' and then
clicking apply
DOESN'T FIX: right-clicking and unselecting 'read only' and then
clicking apply

(the read only flag remains. this has two side-effects: can't edit or
add contacts, also can't use the 'to' button on windows mail in order
to choose a contact to e-mail. we had to download windows live mail
and install that in order to send messages.

Please advise! I see that contacts are now an xml schema rather than
the old way. how does i fix?

Thanks,

"Read Only" means nothing on the folder level. It only applies to
individual files.
