Re-starting slide show after timeout

Is there anyway to re-set a self running kiosk style demo after a period of
inactivity? By that I mean, if a user walks away from the presentation half
way through, the presentation reverts back to the beginning after a set
period of time so that its ready for the next user to visit the kiosk?

The nearest thing I can find is the slide transition time - which only
advances to the *next* slide after a set time. Can you get it to transition
to the beginning slide?

I have power point 2003 SP2

If you go to Slide Show > Set Up Show, you can click the option for
Browsed at a kiosk. However, this only works sometimes. One version of
PowerPoint had a bug so this didn't work at all. Recent versions have had
inconsistent results (some users report that it works perfectly while
others report varying times for when it will revert to the first slide
and still others report that it doesn't work at all). It is supposed to
return to the first slide after 5 minutes of inactivity. Note that with
this option, all navigation must be with hyperlinks, action buttons, or
automatic; i.e., the user can't just click to advance to the next slide
or activate the next animation.

Thanks,
Unfortunately I guess I have a version where it doesn't work, although my
presentation matched all the criteria you mentioned.

How about adding a full screen rectangle to each slide (copy & paste it) with
the message "click to start" or similar. Set it to appear "with previous"
with a delay of 5 mins and action setting to hyperlink to first slide.
