returning to a slide after elapsed time

I'm setting up a small kiosk Powerpoint for a office entrance lobby.
Is there a way to include in the presentation a method to return to the
beginning slide from any slide after an idle period of say 3- 5 minutes?

Hi Lucy,
I've mis-used the term kiosk. Mine will not be "self - running" as the
visitors will have access to a mouse & screen only (not keyboard) and will
be able to select information such as locations & phone numbers when a
receptionist is not available.
What I have is a series of slides set up in the office lobby to welcome
visitors and the visitors will select slides to find phone numbers & other
information.
I need PowerPoint to return to the first Welcome slide from any slide left
by last user after 3-5 minutes.
Is this possible?

Hi Jack

Running in kiosk mode used to do this but no longer does (afaik). This addin
replaces that feature:

Or have a look at Bill Dilworth's response in this thread:

Unless I am totally misunderstanding you should still be able to use kiosk
mode and the add in Lucy suggested.

Thanks John,
The IT people are a little adverse to the use of add-ins and I would prefer
to use native PowerPoint, if at all possible. I just read the suggested Bill
Dilworth's response thread and I will try that method to see if it works for
me. I don't totally understand how it will work, but once I step through it,
I think I may have a better understanding.
I didn't know if it was even possible to implement in PowerPoint 2007 (as I
look back to my original post, I forgot to mention that I'm using 2007!).
