Good morning;
I installed a Maxtor 250GB Hard drive over the weekend and instaled Windows
XP Pro. I partitioned the hard drive with the maxblaster installation cd.
With the CD, I partitioned into C: = 46.6 GB and D: = 186GB. My boot files
and programs are all on C:
I really wanted to give C drive a greater size. Say 200GB and have D with
the remaining space. Can I do this easily in Win XP now that I have data on
C: ?
I know I can probably do it with Partition Magic but if I can use XP
instead, all the better.
I have searched articles , but all relate to partitioning and formatting a
clean hard drive, nothing about increasing the allocated space of a
partition that already has files and programs.
I thought that perhaps, the way to approach it was to delete the D partition
since there is no data, but I don't know how to allot extra space to C:
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Phil
