Hi, I've spent many hours trying everything. I had a
nasty virus that's now gone. The system is back running
fast and smooth, but, here's a brief list...
ctrl alt delete doesn't do anything
task manager won't open
help and support doesn't open
user accounts displays nothing
system restore displays nothing
help and support displays nothing
nothing displays when trying to search hard drive
IE 6 runs fine, but Jscript rollovers and anything
propelled by Java or Javascript doesn't work. I checked
my Java going through command prompt jview. 5.0 all good.
windows media player now has an internal application error.
It's a real head scratcher. I'm thinking of clearing the
disk and re-installing the OS. Then the service packs. I
know it's a lot, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kelly

With all those problems i think you have the right idea by doing a Clean
