Re-Install Win XP Prof

Hi there,

Windows XP Prof

I have just discovered this morning that Windows cannot boot because
some file is missing and that I have to copy that file.

When booting from the Win CD, I never get the option to install over the
current version. When I want to proceed with an install, it jumps to
the screen which want to format my HDD.

Is it possible to re-install without all my current data being wiped?

Please, I trust you have some solution for me.

If you have the XP Pro OME disk you can do a repair and you will not lose any
data. I had to perform the same thing just yesterday with my homw edition. It
worked great did not lose anything.
