re-install ie6 problems

J

John & Chris

I've been using firefox but thought I would go back to ie6. I downloaded it
as instructed from the MS site but it was suspicious as it only took a few
seconds. Then I went to the icon, clicked it but only get back the message
'A previous installation has pending work requiring a reboot. You need to
restart your computer to complete that installation before running Internet
Explorer Setup. Setup will now close.' Trouble is restarting does nothing
special that I can pick up. I can't even find where this previous
installation resides. Any help in how I can reset ie6 for my browser would
be appreciated.
thanks
John

John,

Internet Explorer is already present in the system. You can run it by typing
this in Start, Run:

%Programfiles%\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
